It’s time for week 2 of Fave Five Friday! Joy and I found a couple of gems this week. I thought we’d also try something else out this week, a voting poll. After you’ve watched all the videos, you can vote for your favorite video.
First up, we’re going to “drop” some science on ya! Galileo postulated that objects falling in a vacuum are only subject to one force, gravity. He stated that the rate of fall caused by gravity is the same for all objects. So in a vacuum, a bowling ball and a feather would hit the ground at the same time when dropped. Everyone accepts this is as fact even though it’s almost hard to believe, but seeing is believing…
And then there’s other things that make no sense, like Daylight Saving Time. Was it supposed to save electricity during the war? Was it to keep kids safe when they walked to school in the Fall? Was it all for the farmers?!? Perhaps this movie will uncover the dark truth…
Here’s a great cover of Taylor Swift’s infectious “Shake it Off” performed by indy band Walk of the Earth. Great video shot all in one take. Why is that so cool? Watch the whole thing and you’ll find out.
This one is just so weird it’s cool. Using a unique animation technique involving traditional animation cels and his iphone 5s, Hombre_mcsteez turns everyday life into an odd creature infested cartoon universe.
And finally, this is our favorite video from this past week. It’s a Christmas ad from John Lewis. I’m still not sure what John Lewis is. I thought it was an ad agency at first, but I think it’s store in England. Here’s Monty the Penguin.
