I forgot to post this one with last night’s 2015 Wrap-up! It’s a little video I shot of Spencer dancing in his new jumping activity center with his cousins Nora and Maggie. This kid will definitely have some strong legs!

Spencer’s 2015 Wrap-up
I can’t believe it’s been over 3 months since we’ve updated our blog. Time really flies when you’ve got a newborn at home! Several times, almost every week, I’d say to myself, I really need to post an update to the blog, but it’s been hard to find the time. After a full day at work, I’m usually rushing home to help out with Spencer while Joy was pumping, then she’d take over with Spencer and I’d go cook dinner. After cleaning up, there’s precious little time to hang out with Spencer before he goes down for the night and after he’s out, we’re not far behind.
So, several weeks and ashamedly, months have passed. Here it is 2016 already and Spencer is now almost 9 months old! NINE! Our little man has grown so much these past few months. He’s now over 20 lbs! He’s had so many firsts (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years) that instead of describing them, we’ll just let these pictures do the talking. Enjoy!

6 months with the Peanut
Sorry for the extended delay since the last blog update. It has been a crazy month and half! Back in October everyone in the house got sick. Spencer got his first cold, then Daryl got bronchitis, which later turned into atypical pneumonia. Then Joy got bronchitis! Everyone’s since had a round of antibiotics and I’m pleased to say we’re all much better.

Right before everyone got sick last month, we packed up Spencer and drove to Little Rock, Arkansas to meet with Joy’s parents and her sister Julie and her kids. Tammy, a friend of the family, took some great pictures of everyone. Spencer enjoyed getting to meet his cousins again and we got some great photos.
The timing also worked out so that we could see my Aunt Susanne and Uncle Jimmy for her 60th birthday while we were in Little Rock. Spencer got all dressed up in slacks, a striped shirt, and suspenders.

September Spencer Update
It seems like a lot’s happened since our last update. A week after our quarantine was finished, we finally got to go back to church. Much to our surprise, Spencer slept through the entire service. It was so good being back in church and Mom and Dad getting to show Spencer to everyone that had been praying for him. We’re looking forward to presenting Spencer in a few months for baby dedication.
Joy returned to work a few weeks ago and Spencer is now in daycare during the day. His teachers at daycare are amazing and the staff has taken such great care of our little Peanut.

Out and About with Spencer
It’s hard to believe that 6 weeks have passed since Spencer came home from the NICU. Since it’s been 6 weeks, that means his quarantine is officially over! So last week we went out to celebrate Spencer’s new freedom by taking to Smash Burger and then to see my parents.
