Peanut Update – 4.29.2015

I know everyone’s been wondering where the latest Peanut update is and I apologize for not doing more timely updates, but I got slammed at work last week preparing for my companies annual shareholders meeting. It seems like about 2 weeks of work got crammed into 4 days but everything turned out well. I thought that once the annual meeting was over and the annual report was finished and delivered, I could relax. Weeks of stressing over the aforementioned projects and traveling between the hospital, work, and home seems to have taken it’s toll on me and I instead spent the weekend at home sick as dog.

On Friday, as the last session was drawing to a close, I started feeling “achy” in my legs and very tired. That’s usually a sign that I’m about to get sick, so I called Joy and told her that as much as I wanted to see her, I was going to go home and go straight to bed. When I woke up around 8 pm on Friday, I had a fever and chills. I don’t know if the stress weakened my immune system and I caught something from one of the 200 people at the meeting or I just ate something I shouldn’t have, but let’s just say I spent the next few days close to the bathroom. I didn’t know if it would kill me or cure me, but the internet said to drank 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water (with a little honey and lemon) and it actually seemed to kill whatever was ailing me!

I definitely want to thank my awesome mother-in-law for taking care of me during the weekend by taking care of Joy and for dropping off some soup, crackers, and of course Gatorade. Thanks!

In more important news…

We’ve made it to week 28!   Peanut is continuing to grow and surpass expectations! I know we’re probably starting to sound like a broken record, but I can listen to this tune all day, every day! The heartbeat still looks strong, Joy’s doing well, so we’re still pumped.

On Friday night, our friend Melissa visited Joy for a “Girl’s Night.” They had dinner and watched movies.  Melissa also gave Joy and pretty mani/pedi!

And finally, Joy picked up this adorable outfit for the baby…
