It’s been two weeks since Joy’s water broke and thankfully the baby is still hanging in there!Joy had a pretty good night last night. The baby’s heartbeat was 140 bpm this morning . Joy’s fibroid is still bothering her when she moves but it sounds like she’s sleeping through the night a little better. When the doctor was in yesterday, he went ahead and put in the order for the steroid for the baby, which will be started on Monday. The steroid should help the baby grow a little faster and be a little more ready for living outside the womb should he/she decide they can’t wait to see the outside world.

Joy’s co-workers came by yesterday and brought her a huge basket of goodies. It’s full of snacks, tissues, games, movies, slippers, socks, and toys. We’ve also had a few more flowers and balloons delivered as well as some precious artwork from my niece Sophie to really brighten the room up. We appreciate everyone stopping by and visiting making Joy’s stay that much easier!
