Well, I’m not sure how long this post will remain online. I’ve had a lot of trouble recently with keeping our site online, or at least getting our web host to point our domain name (darylandjoy.com) to the Blogger.com servers where all of our content was. It had something to do with “A” name records or quadruple server technology utilized by Google. So, I decided to switch from Blogger to WordPress. My webhost has the option of installing all the WordPress files needed through an online control panel. The catch is that they couldn’t install everything in the root directory (where you would go if you typed www.darylandjoy.com into your browser). I would’ve had to install things in a sub-directory or a folder called “blog” so I would’ve had to tell people to visit “blog.darylandjoy.com” or “www.darylandjoy.com/blog”. Not wanting to do that, and not being able to figure out how to install the WordPress and phpAdmin files needed to run it, I decided to find another web host that would do it automatically.
I wasn’t having any other problems with my current host, Aplus.net. In fact, they’ve been very helpful in trying to get things to work with Blogger. I still have all of my other sites hosted with them, I just wanted something easier to use with this site.
With that said and all of that technical jargon out of the way, I hope things will settle down and remain stable now. Hopefully I can get this new site gussied up the way I like and start reimporting some of our older posts from the blogger days and get things right.
Thanks for bearing with us. Stay tuned for more updates.
P.S. – I’m SO excited! I should have my new black Kindle 3 in less than a week!

Nice to see it up and running again.
