I’m still patiently awaiting the arrival of my new black, WiFi only Kindle to arrive on or around Aug. 27th but that doesn’t mean I still can’t do a little e-book shopping. Amazon has a page featuring the Top 100 FREE Kindle Books. There’s some public domain classics on there like Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
, Gulliver’s Travels,
and Treasure Island as well as new releases from up and coming authors. Check’em out. You can still select one of these books and have it sent to your Kindle for iPhone app, or the PC/Mac version of Kindle. Then, when your spiffy new Kindle arrives later this month, you can download them in less than a minute!
Apparently, Amazon keeps track of all the Kindle’s you’ve owned and how many times you’ve installed the Kindle software on your Mac, PC, or iPhone. Each one “counts” as a Kindle, which is no big deal, but I found it funny when I went to check on the order status of my new Kindle, it was pre-named “Daryl’s 6th Kindle!” Geez, Amazon, you’d think I’d qualify for a discount by now or something!
