Washington D.C. in the Spring

Joy and I just got back from a fantastic trip up to Washington, D.C. We met up with her extended family to be a part of her Uncle Howard’s retirement from the Air Force. He was a 2-star General and this was quite a special occasion. We were privileged to be able to stay on base during our trip and Joy had the honor of singing at the beginning of the ceremony.

While in D.C., we did the usual stuff, like touring the museum and monuments, but we were also able to take a public tour of the Pentagon, a rare treat! I tried to take lots of pictures of everything (most museums don’t allow photography) but I did manage to get some pretty good night shots of the monuments at the national mall.
